2021 installation, POUSH Clichy
The severed head of a handsome man, adorned with fruits and seashells, rests solemnly upon the altar of an unknown deity. It stands as though it were the first harvest of the season, the very first trophy: a prize both fertile and ominous. The offering oscillates between devotion and violence, between the celebration of life’s abundance and the chilling reminder of mortality. In this ambiguous gesture, beauty becomes sacrificial, and desire is transfigured into ritual—a strange liturgy where reverence and possession are indistinguishable.
